What makes you different?

3

Loré Loré is built around slow, thoughtful making. We work in small batches, prioritise natural and rescued fibres, and design pieces to be worn and loved for years. Our workshops are equally personal — you’re learning real techniques on domestic machines, in a small group setting, with plenty of guidance and room to experiment.

Loré Loré creates women’s all-natural knitwear, including jumpers, cardigans, scarves, and accessories. Each piece is designed to be timeless, versatile, and durable, reflecting our slow-fashion approach to everyday dressing.

Yes. Every Loré Loré piece is knitted on domestic knitting machines and finished by hand in small batches. This allows for careful attention to detail, quality finishing, and consistency across each piece.

Absolutely. We work with all-natural fibres, including rescued yarns and locally sourced Australian Merino wool, prioritising sustainable and ethical production. Merino is a favourite for our autumn and winter collections, while linen and cotton blends are used for lighter spring and summer knits.

Do you offer private or group bookings?

Most Loré Loré knitwear is produced in one standard size unless stated otherwise. The nature of knitted fabric allows it to stretch and sit differently on each body. If you have specific sizing questions or would like to request a custom size, please submit an enquiry form and we’ll happily discuss your options.

We recommend gentle hand-washing in cold water with a mild wool detergent, followed by flat drying. Proper care helps maintain shape, softness, and longevity of natural fibres.

Yes. We run hands-on machine knitting workshops in Melbourne, designed to be relaxed, social, and practical. Participants learn core techniques and create their own knitted piece while gaining insight into how domestic knitting machines work.

Not at all. Our workshops are suitable for complete beginners as well as makers who want to build confidence on knitting machines. We guide you step-by-step, and there’s plenty of time to ask questions and explore at your own pace.

You’re welcome to bring your own machine if you’d like to learn on the equipment you use at home (as long as it’s in working order), but it’s not essential. We also have several machine models available in the studio for learning and troubleshooting.

Yes. We offer private one-to-one sessions, small group bookings, and workshops for team days, creative gatherings, and special occasions. These can be hosted at your location or arranged at selected venues. Please use the private workshop enquiry form to discuss options.

Do you offer gift vouchers?

Loré Loré produces small-batch collections, often on a made-to-order basis. Many pieces are one-off or available in limited colourways, and can be made to order if sold out. This approach allows us to avoid unnecessary stock and create in response to real demand, while focusing on quality, longevity, and thoughtful production.

Loré Loré knitwear is available through our online store and at selected pop-up markets and events across Melbourne. Any upcoming in-person stockists or markets are shared on our website and social channels.

Yes. We offer a repair service for Loré Loré garments, supporting long-term wear and reducing textile waste. Please contact us with details and photos so we can assess the repair.

Loré Loré hosts small-group workshops at various locations across Melbourne throughout the year, with regular classes held at Thread Den in Fitzroy. All upcoming dates and locations are listed on our workshop calendar and shared via social media.

No. For group workshops, all machines are provided. We use KX350 and LK150 models, which operate similarly to many Brother (Empisal), Singer, and Silver Reed domestic machines, so the techniques you learn can be applied to most home machines.

For group workshops, machines are provided and basic materials are available, however we strongly encourage you to bring your own yarn so you can experiment and learn with fibres you enjoy using.

For private workshops, we ask that you bring yarn suitable for the gauge of the machine. We can provide yarn as a backup if needed.

Yes. Gift vouchers can be used towards knitwear purchases or workshops, making them a lovely option for makers and slow-fashion lovers alike.
