Get cosy and creative with Loré Loré in this hands-on beginner workshop where you'll learn to knit your very own chunky vest using the continental hand knitting technique. Whether you're completely new to knitting or looking to try a fresh approach, this relaxed and welcoming session is the perfect place to start.
Guided by designer and maker Lorena, you'll use soft, chunky yarn and large needles to build your skills quickly and with ease. Continental knitting is a smooth and efficient method that makes learning feel natural—even if you’ve never picked up needles before.
Throughout the workshop, you’ll be introduced to essential techniques including casting on, working knit and purl stitches, creating seed stitch, shaping through partial knitting, casting off, and linking your pieces together. You’ll work on your vest in a friendly, social setting and leave with a great head start on your project, plus detailed notes and instructions to continue at home.
What to bring:
800g of 14ply yarn (approx. 8 balls)
15mm chunky knitting needles
You’ll receive step-by-step guidance in a supportive, small group environment, detailed printed instructions to help you finish your vest at home, and the skills and confidence to continue your knitting journey beyond the workshop.
This workshop is perfect for first-time knitters or anyone looking to slow down, connect with craft, and build confidence with a fun, wearable project. No experience needed—just bring your materials and enjoy the process!
