Get cosy and creative with Loré Loré in this hands-on beginner workshop, where you'll learn to hand-knit your own chunky vest using the continental technique. Whether you're brand new to knitting or keen to try a different method, this relaxed, welcoming session is the perfect place to start.
Guided by designer and maker Lorena, you'll work with soft, chunky yarn and large needles to build your skills quickly and with ease. Continental knitting is smooth and efficient, so it feels natural even on your first project. If you find the switch tricky, Lorena's happy to guide you through English style instead, whatever feels most comfortable for you.
You'll be introduced to casting on, knit and purl stitches, seed stitch, partial knitting for shaping, casting off, and linking your pieces together. By the end, you'll have a great head start on your vest, plus detailed notes to finish it at home.
What to bring:
800g of 14ply yarn (approx. 8 balls)
15mm chunky knitting needles
This workshop suits first-time knitters and anyone wanting to slow down, connect with craft, and build confidence with a fun, wearable project. No experience needed, just bring your materials and enjoy the process.
